Hiking experience in Fuschl am See
Apart from swimming, Fuschl am See is well-known for its breathtaking mountain scenery that is experienced best on foot. Consequently the area surrounding the lake is considered to be a paradise for hikers, Nordic walkers or joggers.
Nature lovers and athletes find well-marked paths that offer various degrees of difficulty. It is not a great secret that when being on a mountain top, you have a marvelous view - but this view will form part of your memories forever.
Since that you deserve the very best, we have gone out and found the most attractive tours for you and gathered them together in a brochure - ready for take away, and ready to be explored. In case the routes, which start right at the hotel are not enough, we have included tours that are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and can be reached by car easily.
A tour to the mountains Dachstein, Watzmann and others, may demand a little more time though, but are definitely worth seeing.
Upon your arrival at our hotel, we will supply you with detailed information in the form of the aforementioned brochure, and we would be pleased to assist you with your tour planning. If needed, we have a map of trails ready, which you can take with you while discovering Fuschl’s fantastic nature. If you happen to be a Nordic walker or intend to become one while staying at our hotel, we would be glad to supply you with Nordic walking sticks and backpacks.
The trails are marked well, so you can reach your target destination in a safe way, and enjoy nature at its best.
Have a look below to get information about sample trails
Hiking tour Schober: category – advanced
This tour is more demanding and requires hiking experience, BUT it is worth it. Once at the top of Schober you have a marvelous view of seven different lakes.
Hiking tour in autumn: category – romantic
Even though the Fuschlsee is worth seeing throughout the year, there is one season in which it presents its most romantic side. In autumn, leaves change color to a bright yellow and ruby red and when combined with the sparkling turquoise of the lake and the fresh smell of hay, it all represents a wonderful romantic Indian summer image.
Enjoy yourself on one of these tours.
Loop trail Fuschlsee: category – beginner
Especially in spring the loop trail around the Fuschlsee which leads for a length of 12km from the hotel via the royal fishmonger’s, where you can take a rest and have a fish-snack, is very popular among Nordic walkers.
If this panorama tour that usually takes three hours turns out to be too long, there is the possibility to cut it short by using the “Zille”. The Zille is a lovely ferry made of wood which cruises between the lake promenade and the royal fishmonger’s near Fuschl’s well-known castle.
We would be pleased to provide the following services:
