In the immediate vicinity of Fuschl am See, you will also find smaller, family-friendly ski lifts – ideal for beginners and families.
The Kesselmann ski lift and the Postalm ski resort are particularly popular, both perfect for practising, learning and relaxed skiing with fantastic views.

Those seeking the tranquillity of winter will find quiet valleys, snow-covered forests and gentle ridges that are ideal for relaxed tours.

Cross-country skiing

The region around Lake Fuschl enjoys an excellent reputation among cross-country skiers. In Fuschl am See and the surrounding villages, you can expect perfectly groomed trails – from classic routes to athletic skating trails to varied routes of varying degrees of difficulty. Here, every type of cross-country skier will find their perfect trail.

The cross-country skiing village of Faistenau–Hintersee is particularly noteworthy:
around 70 kilometres of trails, some of which are covered with artificial snow, ensure reliable conditions throughout the winter. In addition, there is a well-thought-out service away from the trails: parking facilities and ski hire are available. Another highlight are the floodlit trails, which also allow for an atmospheric and romantic cross-country skiing experience in the evening.

Tobogganing

After stopping for some hearty refreshment in one of our Alpine mountain huts, continue down to the valley on a sledge. Hearing the tobogganers’ laughter echo through the forest will make you feel like zooming up again for the next run.

Snowtubing in Faistenau

Take the brand new ski lift uphill, and whizz down the 170 meter snow tracks. Everything is prepared for a great fun afternoon together with your family.

The snow tubing track is located only a couple of minutes on foot from the main square in Faistenau. Approximately 50 inflated tires (tubes) are available for you to use.

Night tubing fans will also get their fun fix
The tubing track is floodlit on demand during the week (prior reservation required) and is generally floodlit on Fridays and Saturdays until 9 pm, as well as on Sundays until 8 pm.
